The new SIC Community center will go down in history as one of the biggest ripoff of the resident taxpayers in NJ. The taxpayers did not want it. The Mayor and town council rammed it through and now the taxpayers bear the burden for every out of towner that wants to use it. The average SI taxpayer receives ZERO benefits while incurring all of the costs including potential liability lawsuits arising from physical activities at the Center. Does anyone know how the contracts were awarded? Doesn’t seem to be any local jobs created.
