The Trump administration has reportedly shuttered the office responsible for investigating abuse and misconduct in immigration detention centers. A DHS spokesperson blamed Congress alleging lawmakers did not provide enough funding. But the administration had already cut 96% of the watchdog office’s staff, and 80% of staff at the office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties
