For every 3 dollars I make 1 goes to taxes. Why? Why should I send 1/3 of my money to people and places that waste what I work so hard to make? The 10% of us that pay over 70% of the taxes in this country while the bottom 10% pay 3% of taxes collected have had enough. For perspective, a third is 20 times more than the British were trying to tax in the Boston Tea Party. Last year feds took just over $5 trillion. State and local took another $2.5 trillion. Out of a total personal income of 26 trillion. 1 in 3 to taxes. What do I get in return? Nothing from my town but shut up and pay.
