While I’m no expert on local government, why is there a school board member steering the discussion on whether or not Crest Memorial should allow out-of-district students to pay tuition when the decision directly impacts both his wife and mother’s school districts. Could there be a clearer example of a conflict of interest. In one breath, the board member acts as though they care about the added cost of special education students and the next complains about inequity at CMS. If they have the space, families are willing to pay and tuition kids lower property taxes, let’s make it happen.
