Offshore towns were traditionally home to more year round residents since the barrier islands were always so expensive. That's not the case anymore, it's all expensive. But Realtors need to be more honest with their buyers who plan on renting offshore properties. Not many year round residents make $12k+ per month and can afford $4-5k+ for a yearly rental!
