We have a vice president who always shows his incredible intellect. He recently became Catholic because he was impressed with the religion. He was attracted to the intellectual tradition and historical continuity of the religion. Does he believe that gives him the right to tell the Pope that he should be careful when speaking about theology? If we need to have any theological conversations, I do believe I will listen to what the Pope has to say over the guy who is new to the religion. Actually new to any religion since he has said he was an atheist. But sure, tell the Pope how to speak.
