So now our Recreation department is telling members that they can’t use the basketball courts for open gym on Mondays through June from 5pm to 8pm because a private outside basketball camp company is using it? The gym is big enough to allow this company to use 1/2 the court while open gym uses the other half. If they are taking time away from the taxpayers to make money the City better be getting a nice payment from this company to pay for the use of this building since the taxpayers can’t use it and pay for the building.
