Lower Township Re: Unfortunately, Township managers are appointed by the council, so the votes that matter most are for Mayor and Council seats they are the ones who choose our current leadership. I don’t know much about your township, but I have seen this system in action before. In my experience those really in charge select people they can control, not necessarily the most qualified. When people put band aids on problems they tend to come off and the problem remains. It’s unfortunate that some in government don’t see the big picture and would rather have a turf war.
