I like the idea of nuclear power, but do have concerns with the overhaul of the NRC, which has turned it from an independent watchdog to a politically influenced body, thus causing erosion of trust. Other concerns are the rolling back of certain regulations such as; prioritizing speed over safety, reducing environmental reviews, and weakening safety standards. Nuclear is a great alternative energy source, but I would like high standards of safety and trust.
