I just read the pro-solar farm letter to the editor from a Democrat candidate for County Commissioner. I am not opposed to green energy IF it is economically beneficial. Although the writer touts a solar farm's storage of excess power, he leaves out a big piece of the puzzle. How much did the solar farm cost, and who paid for it? If no subsidies were used, it sounds great. If the rest of us have to finance overly costly solar, then no thanks. For decades solar advocates have told us that subsidies would go away as tech became cheaper. It seems we're still waiting. No to any surcharge
