From a cost-efficiency standpoint, it seems questionable. At the Cape May Courthouse, there were approximately six officers assigned to security checks at the front entrance. With that level of staffing, it would be more effective to have personnel distributed throughout the building rather than clustered at the entrance, where several appeared to be idle or occupied with personal devices.
