I was saddened to hear the broken pipe and subsequent water leak at the airports Flight Deck diner will require the demolition of the building. The structure was part of the original tower of Naval Air Station Wildwood and was the oldest air tower left standing after we lost the tower at the old banner plane landing strip here in town. The history between these two towers have been lost to time and the significance of both in defense of Cape May County during WWII and the Korean conflict cannot be overstayed.
