If Cape May keeps raising taxes it’ll no longer know as the home of seafood, it’ll be known as the home of the May-o-Naise sandwich because that’s the only thing people who live there will be able to afford to eat. After paying all the tolls, tips, their share of budget increases and parking, tourists will be so broke by the time they get here they’ll have to turn around and go home. Add in a new tourist arrival and departure tax and even sleeping on the beach will be too expensive. At what point do people start to forget about that once mostly affordable vacation town.
