If you think gas prices will come down very quickly when the war is over, like Donald Trump said, think again. The US energy department has warned gasoline and diesel prices are unlikely to recede to prewar levels until mid-2027 at the earliest, ratcheting up costs for industries from trucking and farming to airlines and retailers. Who are you gonna believe, Trump, who makes a living telling lies on a daily basis or the US Dept. of Energy? If Trump’s war continues and Iran keeps bombing neighboring energy facilities, high gas prices will continue into 2028 or longer.
