It’s time to start asking Mayor Sippel, Managers Laffey and Lewis why our safety is being auctioned off to short term rentals. They brag about no tax increases while our police force effectively loses 75% of its power every summer. By refusing to fund enough full-time officers to match our actual summer population, this administration has forced our police into a reactive only mode. Managers and the Council allow 1,000+ mini hotels but then they provide a skeleton crew to manage the noise, parking, and chaos. A zero percent tax increase isn't a win when your quality of life is at zero too.
