While the US has its own oil, and access to that of South America and Canada, this war is going to destroy the weaker economies of all of the rest of the world that relies on Middle Eastern supplies: Europe, Asia, Africa. Oil and gas shortages reflect in EVERYTHING. Thanks a lot, USA. The US might be better insulated, but it is destroying the global economy. There are going to be terrible and drastic economic consequences; the rest of the world will never forget that the US did this unilaterally.
