I just watched a championship basketball game that my son’s friends were playing in. It’s supposed to be a league above regular rec ball. Do referees not make calls in this league? Kids obviously traveling, double dribbling, grabbing kids arms, holding kids arms never called. I’ve never seen refs ignore so much in a game! So winning the game is not left to skill, but the refs lack of discretion? Then the wins mean nothing. So you’re teaching the kids nothing. I’ll pass on my son playing in this league and stick to real AAU leagues where skill matters and refs do their jobs.
