I've got to agree w/ the Del Haven spouter on the fire district budgets. I support teachers but voted against the insane MTSD building referendum because of its frivolousness. I likewise support volunteer firefighters. They're brave, community assets. But many of the station house expenses need to be curtailed. Fire companies should publish a spreadsheet so we see where the $ is going. And there is no question that the elections should be on November ballots. Otherwise its a trick to keep turn out low, and I can't abide that.
