The US women’s Hockey team now hold the record for longest Olympic shutout streak. They have medaled in every Olympic Winter Game since the first-ever women’s tournament in 1998, for a total of 8. They have won either the gold or silver medal in every single IIHF Women’s World Championship since it began in 1990, for a total of 24. They cheered enthusiastically when it was the men’s turn to win gold, ONLY TO BE LAUGHED AT hours later in the locker room by those same men.
