I enjoyed the article in last week’s Herald about Cape May’s participation in the American Revolution. It spoke about the patriotic folks that lived here working hard as farmers, fisherman and other vital occupations needed in this area. I like when it said the people here were very against the British and paying taxes just because the ruling class demanded it. They did not like or tolerate a king’s dominion. They wanted to live as they liked, not how they were told to. I’m looking forward to learning more from these articles.
