Yesterday, the NY Times published a slow-motion video analysis that demonstrated conclusively that Renee Good’s vehicle was turning away from the ICE officer when he opened fire. Not only does the DOJ policy limit situations when deadly force is ok to use with cars, this woman from the area was in her own car with an unobstructed view of her license plate. ICE could have followed up after she left with a visit to the home to arrest her peacefully. It is concerning that the use of deadly force is rising in ICE operations. This is NOT a professional law enforcement agency.
