Governor Murphy signed into law the cell phone ban in all NJ schools starting with the 2026-2027 school year. The NJ department of education will issue guidelines. I feel that this is an excellent decision. Cell phones are a major distraction and have caused many mental health issues that children face. Schools have plenty of time to prepare students and parents for the ban. Thank you Governor Murphy!
