More residential development increases the cost of everything. More houses use more water, more electricity, generates more sewage and trash, puts more kids in the schools resulting in more property tax increases. The fact a new desalination plant is being built shows that there already too many houses using too much water. Yet no municipality has the courage to say enough with new residential development. Cape May County used be attractive. Now its on the verge of just being housing developments. I hope the State steps up to stop development because the planning boards never will.
