As a lifelong Democrat and 15-year resident, I have been encouraged by the dedication of young leaders working to strengthen our community. Their efforts reflect the values our party should be acknowledged. That is why I am concerned by reports that a newly elected candidate may step down if Mayor Sabo’s State bid fails, and the expectation of being reappointed as Commissioner by George Dick. This would undermine both fairness and public trust.
