To the Spouter who asked why there was backlash against the huge hotel on the OC boardwalk - there is a lot more to the issue than just the hotel looking "very nice". Please read up on it. To start the island is already overcrowded and the infrastructure could not handle that additional demand. Allowing a hotel would open Pandoras Box. The boardwalk could quickly be dominated by hotels & condos as current boardwalk property owners cash out to developers. It also has the potential to bring alcohol sales to OC. This all requires careful consideration & planning. It would effect all of OC.
