David Douglass Sr. Memorial Park is one of my favorite places to bike ride to, and many of my fellow Ferry riders also treasure its natural surroundings. The Ferry and that park is why I moved back to this part of Cape May - after growing up here. That is not 'vacant, wasted land' ripe for development - that is treasured open space. Our home. Our resident tax dollars support that precious little bit of natural park - of nature - and sticking a hotel between the park and the ferry would ruin both! And, it would impact me, a property tax paying resident, Severely. Do not do it.
