After a near collision with multiple e-bikes Mayor Gillian has called for stricter laws. In his address to the town he also said that part of the problem are the parents of young riders. He also went on to bring up cabanas and dogs on the beach. The Mayor stated that he was shaken by the event, as anyone that has experienced this can attest to. In his remarks he said that luckily he was not on his phone and saw the riders. Let’s start enforcing the laws and ordinances currently on the books and see how that works. It’s worth a try. New laws won’t do anything if the police don’t take an active enforcement role.
