The Herald accurately points out that the blame for NJ’s electric woes lies with out liberal pols who shuttered plants and threw money away on the unicorn of windmills (which under no circumstance could replace other generation sources). However dumb Murphy was on this issue his dedication to funding the pension is laudable. As the paper pointed out, it was NJ politicians who underfunded and raided the fund. Public employees dutifully paid their share and even ate increases to help make up for Trenton’s malfeasance.
