Biking on the sidewalk just takes an excuse me to let people know you need to get by. A broom swept sidewalk would help prevent injuries. Holding a door open for someone is not a burden. Parking in your driveway instead of keeping it open in an overcrowded town is being conscientious. Wearing shorts or wrap over your thong while shopping, shows self respect. Simple courtesies towards one another would be lovely.
