It's easy to understand why Wildwood would want to regulate e-bikes on the boardwalk and protect everyone from kids speeding dangerously. However, the over 65 crowd are often unable either to walk the boards anymore or ride a regular bike, and they do not tend to speed or create a risk to others on e-bikes. Their time on the boardwalk, whether for exercise or socializing (Hot Spot, anyone?), is very precious to them. Wildwood has tailored other regulations to address various age-specific risks, so please, Wildwood, give these over 65s a break and let them enjoy our beautiful boardwalk.
