Well hopefully the 4 th was a wake up for the island residents and hopefully we all realize the need for beach fees ! Only a few towns in the state have free beaches and unfortunately we are one of them .Living on the beach front for over 30 years , I never witnessed the parking and beach crowds as this 4 th. The vast majority of the beach crowds are off shore trailer camps , stake their claim with huge tents at 6 am .Then proceed to shower , shave etc on our street ends . Trash everywhere and the great smell of pot .We are loosing a fortune in revenue and massive costs .
