In the Herald it was reported that a MT teacher was indicted for 1st degree sexual assault on a child under the age of 13 and as a result now faces a sentence of 10-20 years. In the same issue it was stated that an Erma man charged with the exact same crime faces 25-Life w/ minimum of 25 yrs. due to “Jessica’s Law.” Can someone please explain why the female teacher, charged with the same crime doesn’t face the same penalty?
