As the Presidents birthday parade appoaches, I want to remind everyone that Trump has consistently disrespected the military, insulting those who have chosen to serve and their families. For example: Trump insulted the grieving widow of Sgt. La David T. Johnson, telling her that her husband “must have known what he signed up for.” Trump mocked Senator John McCain, a former NAVY carrier pilot and spent 5 years being tortured in a POW camp, saying he preferred heroes “who weren’t captured.” At a Memorial Day commemoration at Arlington Trump commented, “I don't get it, what's in for them"?
