The flyers that were placed in residents mailboxes over the weekend likely violated not only Federal law surrounding what can and cannot be placed in a mailbox; they also may have violated state election law by handing out pamphlets without the proper disclosures identifying who they were circulated by and if they were advocating for or against a cause.
