More than half of U.S. soybean exports went to China last year, but the price just went up 135 percent. China will not play Trump’s game. Farmers in places like Iowa are concerned they will lose their largest customer because of Trump’s tariffs. China can buy soybean from farmers in South America and if that happens Iowa’s farmers will never get China back as a customer. Think about that, Trump is driving customers away. How can that be a good thing? Business people don’t want to lose one customer let alone an entire country.
