As loving Parents and Grandparents, we all know ‘Different’ is not ‘abnormal’ and ‘typical’ and ‘normal’ are not synonyms. We wish and pray for our children to have what we have and better. I understand that when something looks very different, that can be scary to those unfamiliar or ignorant. Regardless of what bonehead RJK Jr. says, Autism looks different in each person. Our challenged member does not "destroy" our family, but brings us together with a shared sense of purpose in helping the least of our Brother. This is why Republican Politicians are perceived as so mean spirited!
