So the Sea Isle City Mayor and Council is opposing a proposal in Trenton to provide an exemption for surfers and anglers for beach badges. This legislation is overdue relief to those who want to enjoy the benefits of the ocean and don’t need to occupy space on the beach above the waterline. It’s a common sense proposal that our out of touch Council doesn’t understand. Are they really concerned about the revenue from a handful of surfers and fishermen? How about eliminating FREE WEDNESDAYS ? How about actually enforcing the rules throughout town south of the promenade ? Wake up !
