In 1935 almost all Republicans in Congress opposed the creation of Social Security. They’ve been trying to cut, negatively alter or eliminate social security ever since. SS keeps food on the table and a roof over heads. Why the “Average Joe” would ever vote Republican is beyond comprehension.
