Check your August electric bill. Many people found a huge spike in usage when compared to July (the previous month) and August of last year. This despite July being a degree hotter than August and last August was 3 degrees hotter. So logically people were using a comparable amount or even less A/C in August. See if your August bill makes sense to you.
