I have watched the Presidents press conferences. He is equipped with a list of answers to prepared questions asked by a pre selected group of people. As for speeches they are fully prepared and vetted and then put on a screen for him to read. Anytime he starts to go off script they cut him off. The other day they had piano music cut him off.
