Skyrocketing rents have been driven up by second home purchases and the influx of Airbnb rentals, leaving many to wonder how our community can sustain itself when the backbone of our workforce is pushed to the brink. We need to unite stakeholders – from local government officials to business owners, from residents to housing advocates. We need to work together to find solutions so that the people who serve our community daily can afford to live here, too. We owe it to our workforce and ourselves to ensure they aren't pushed out but are given the chance to thrive in the place we all call home.
