To the Del Haven spouter supporting the Green Creek Fire Co. if you’re referring to the spout I think, that person didn’t express “a problem” with those volunteer firefighters, but rather with the tax, which comparatively speaking is high. I respect the volunteers, but as to your point “can you imagine if we had paid firefighters what it would cost?” What would happen in that case is consolation for MTFD, not a 1/2 dozen independent companies. I’m not saying that’s the way to go, but the Green Creek fire tax needs to be more reasonable and that idea no way impugns the volunteers.
