What underlying level of exasperation would prompt the police department to politicize a "public safety notice", which only exacerbates the division, fear, and hostility that is already omnipresent in US culture? Included in our rental packet was a page of "keep safe Tips" left by the Avalon police: 'be aware, lock cars/houses, report suspicious activities, activate/register cameras, etc, etc, etc, etc.' I did not realize that Avalon was also dangerous. I thought the insane rents would block it out, like SPF5000. @APD: Please leave opinions to Spout Off and off of public safety notices. Thanks
