In regards to schools providing translators. I worked in a school located in a city with a large ethnic population and a translator was never offered. This became difficult during parent teacher conferences and when I had to call home. During conferences those parents had to bring their child to translate. Calls home usually ended in No Speak English. This became even more difficult during Covid remote teaching. This is one reason I left the profession. It’s wonderful that the school mentioned in a spout is providing that service.
