Out of town developers are building multimillion dollar developments that require the addition of affordable housing units. But their wealthy clients do not want them placed in their back yards. Instead, they are allowed to place them offsite in neighborhoods where folks have no say in the matter. The City should pass an ordinance requiring mandated affordable units be placed on the site of the new developments.
