Years ago, the North Wildwood beach was raked by one man, riding on a tractor with a rake behind it. The rake caught beach debris which was emptied by the driver. This made the trek through the sand more manageable, especially for the elderly. As this process has stopped for a number of years, I wonder about the amount of trash that is buried beneath the unraked sand. Isn't it strange now that the beach is rolled for soccer and baseball games to be played, which generate millions of dollars in registration fees. No priority is given to daily beach goers who use the beach for free.
