I heard something that made me do a double take, because I couldn’t believe it was true. LCMR HS didn’t replace a retiring home ec teacher, substituting a video game playing class instead! This is a school right? Guess what these kids already know how to do? Play video games. Guess what they’ll NEED to do in life- cook, sew, budget, laundry. It gets worse. I learned the school spent $80k for 22 “gaming” computers! That’s $3600 each! My kids graduated LCMR in the 90s. The home ec class was beneficial. I’m really glad they’re not there now.
