The future of our electrical supply is Small Modular Reactors (SMR), not wind and solar. NIMBY’s always say Chernobyl, but that was like throwing refined uranium in a fireplace by comparison, and this is not that. We can easily survive on fossil fuels until SMR’s are online and producing 24/7/365 by 2050, and not rely on optimal sun and wind to do it. So why is renewable being pushed for such a short timeframe of use? Follow the money. Many currently profit immensely from China, and it’s clear they prefer money over country.
