State Farm, California's largest homeowner insurance provider, and Allstate have stopped selling new policies on homes and condos in the state, citing "rapidly growing catastrophe exposure" from wildfires. In Florida most large homeowners insurance companies have pulled out of the state because of areas increasingly vulnerable to natural disasters. What is fueling the increasing frequency and intensity of wildfires and hurricanes that is causing insurers to stop selling new policies in those states? Global warming. Will NJ be next? Global warming deniers, take your heads out of the sand.
