When I go to see the sunrise, I’m saddened that the view will one day not be as it was in the past, free of pinwheels disrupting the view just to satisfy a fantasy. I’m wondering at what point oceanfront property owners will realize they are a powerful lobby if they band together and if they wish to stop construction. The legal term “diminished value” for tax purposes comes into play because they will not have what they had in the past, an unobstructed ocean view. Who of sound mind would pay the same tax? Their property has diminished in value. The law on unintended consequences yet again.
